Q: What is Pajama Pathologist?
A: Pajama Pathologist refers to the preclinical histopathology that is performed by self- employed pathologists, often times from home, and using the PathData® System.
Q: Why is it called Pajama Pathologist?
A: One of the key differentiators is that because the work can frequently be done from home, it is thought that the work can be done in absolute comfort. A light-hearted view of this would be a pathologist hard at work at the microscope wearing pajamas.
Q: What is so special about the PDS view of Pajama Pathologist?
A: PDS views the market for Pajama Pathologist to be a growing one. As more pathologists "retire" from their corporate jobs, they realize the demand for their experience and talent continues. Q: So then I need to do the PQ?
A: Yes. And we've made that very easy, straightforward and affordable for you to accomplish. You can consult with us and take advantage of a variety of PQ Package options to further streamline the process.
Q: How long does it take to get access to the PathData System up and running?
A: You can start almost as soon as you would like. If you already are familiar with the PathData System, the additional training is minimal. If you are not familiar with the PathData System, you will need a couple of days of training. Training is provided on a per diem basis.
Q: I don't know if the amount of work I will have will justify the cost. What if I only have one study to read and then don't get any other work for a while?
A: That is exactly why we developed this concept. Once you have activated your account, you simply purchase the amount of access that you need based on the number of slides that you will be reading for the particular study. It is easy and cost-effective.
Q: Will the PathData System provide tools for me to generate my report?
A: Yes.
